  1. Dear Friends

Culture Fix Gallery and Vidho Lorville Fine Arts Production is pleased to inform you of an artistic and cultural event honoring the art and talent of Haiti serving the Haitian community after the earthquake of January 12, 2010 from March 15h to 20th, 2011.

An opening reception and fundraising will be held on Friday, March 18th, 2011 with Haitian music performance, visual arts and a film documentary on our art therapy project for children of Haiti named Aye-Ti Moun Yo.

Aye-Ti Mounn Yo re-groups artists and institutions of Haiti and the United States to support and contribute to the arts-in-education of the children of Haiti.

Aye-Ti Mounn Yo art project is coaching Haitian artists to transform their artistic knowledge and experience of art practice into art teaching methods that service the development of the Haitian community in its ensemble.

The art show will include a public art project made with children of New Orleans and Port-au-Princes sharing their experience of natural disasters, paintings and sculptures by Haitian artists living in Haiti that are involved with Aye-Ti Moun Yo.

During the benefit night, we will have an auction of the artwork donated by the artists to help raise funds for Aye-Ti Mounn Yo art therapy project for the children of Haiti.

We will use the money from each art piece sold to create a system of payment for the artists’ labor and expend our project into orphanages and tents cities in Port-au-Prince and other cities of Haiti.

There’s a $20.00 suggested donation for the event. If you don’t have it, feel free to join us either ways. We want you to see the show and give us some feedback.

If you cannot come at the opening please, consider to make a donation to Aye-Ti Moun Yo on the top page of our blog at any time. We’ll appreciate it very much. All donations are taxes deductible.

Culture Fix Gallery is located at 9 Clinton Street, NYC
